May 11, 2008 (Shanya) -- MAN Roland held a PraxisDialog seminar on how to enhance overall equipment effectiveness TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) training.

In view of the increasingly keen competition in the printing industry, every printer is seeking answers on questions like how to sustain market share by reducing cost while maintaining quality and image. Under the circumstance, MAN Roland together with Stand Consulting Co., Ltd held an outofordinary “PraxisDialog’s Seminar on How to Enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness TPM Training” in Sanya, a tropical island paradise. At the seminar, all management level attendants were thoroughly introduced to the essence of TPM pragmatic methodologies which aim to enhance their output!

By improving management of facilities, TPM can maximize ulitization of facilities, highly realize their security, maintain the best quality and prevent them from any mistake happened through participation of all team members. Ultimately it is aimed at creating a perfect enterprise operation management system which can reduce cost and enhance overall effectiveness.

Kicking off the PraxisDialog’s seminar, Chief Consultant of Stand Consulting Co., Ltd, Ms. Nie YunChu introduced TPM pragmatic application in the printing industry from the easy to the difficult. She also used practical examples to show the implementation of TPM management modes to attendants. As a major player of the printing industry, Hucais Group which recorded significant success after adoption of TPM concept in the operation also had its representatives attended the training. As users, they shared not only their success experience but also their tips in applying it in reality. MAN Roland, as an organizer of the seminar, introduced real management of TPM comprehensively in different aspects. In the printing supplies aspect, Head of Printing Supplies of MAN Roland Great China, Mr. Thomas Luk explained: “Relationship amongst quality printing supplies, high productivity and lower cost under TPM management. In the machine maintenance aspect, Head of Sheetfed Service of MAN Roland Greater China Mr. Dennis Chan shared valuable experience with all attendants as well as introduced MAN Roland’s valueadded services including ProServ service package, TelePresence remote diagnosis system, printnet printing system, ColorPilot automatic ink control application, InlineInspector and so on. In the consulting service aspect, Project Manager Mr. Eric Kwok revealed that MAN Roland added printadvice, a printing advisory service to all printers in the Greater China region. “It is a brand new service which particularly targets at customers who are seeking better utilization of MAN Roland’s facilities and bring better effectiveness to the operation in view of the increasing production cost."

Different from the traditional oneway training, the seminar was carried out with interactive methodologies. Group competitions, group discussion, experience sharing and live demonstration were set in the agenda. In addition, during the breaks and after the completion of the seminar, exciting games and sightseeing tour were arranged for attendants.

The pragmatic and interactive training showed the activeness of the attendants and also enhanced their knowledge valuably under a relaxing circumstance. They all experienced TPM practical management and understood the importance of differentiation strategy. In face of the increasingly keen competitions, the first one who can perform differentiation can win customers as well as the market share. The twoday seminar attracted approximately 50 experts from over 30 printing companies in the mainland China. MAN Roland Greater China Managing Director Mr. Marco Faulhaber also joined this exciting event in Hainan.
