Ink
Ink is an essential raw material in printing. It is the medium to extract images from Plate. Its main function is to copy the image areas on Plate to substrates. While printing, the image areas on Plate will be wiped with ink. After impression, the ink on the image areas will be transferred to substrates and form images. Main ingredients include pigments, varnish, dry agent and additives. Generally, there are four colors — cyan, magenta, yellow and black (CMYK). In addition, specialized colors such as metallic, luminescent and many others are also available. Ink is a very interesting kind of supply. Different moods or humidity will have direct impact on the performance of the ink. Ink with premium quality surpasses others in its hue and saturation.
Benefits of Premium ink Hue and saturation are most crucial for all ink . If there is an insufficiency in hue, more ink will be needed to compensate for the deficiency in this regard. As a result, relatively large volume of ink will be used to complete the print job. Other defects will occur such as large dots. Moreover, presently, many print products demand finishing after press. Therefore, the effects of rub-resistance, tension or further finishing, are all important considerations when choosing the right kind of ink for your presses.
